Humane Heart

a Big Heart Studios project in Albania

Every street dog deserves a home.

We foster two dogs at a time off the streets of Albania. Each one gets good food, vet care, grooming, and a trusted caregiver while we’re out of the country, until they find a forever home.

Small on purpose, so every rescue sticks.

Many dogs in Albania live on the street without regular food, shelter, or care. We can’t take in every one. By fostering two at a time, each dog gets our full attention, real time to recover, and a real chance at a family.

When we’re not in the country, a local caregiver we trust looks after them every day, so their care never stops.

Every foster is spayed or neutered, so each rescue also means fewer puppies born onto the street.

From the street to a forever home

Off the street

We bring a dog in from the street into safe foster care.

Vet care

A vet checks them over, treats what they need, and spays or neuters them.

Daily care

Good food, grooming after life on the street, and a caregiver with them while we’re away.

Forever home

We find each dog a loving family, then welcome the next dog in.
