In a culture where values and information were traditionally passed on through story, dance and music, a sermon-oriented church has missed out on reaching to the heart of the people. In today’s Kenyan society, arts and entertainment influence people far more than does the church. Social media, YouTube, internet, radio, film and TV is the space where the majority of Kenyan youth bring their questions and find their values.

At ACT Kenya we are working to raise up an army of actors, directors, musicians, writers, visual artists, dancers, missionaries and ministers who will intentionally use the arts to proclaim God’s truth and change the way that people examine and apply their faith within their African context through their own stories and African art forms.
