Few of the Many Ministries

The use of storytelling & the arts
to pursue healing of our minds & hearts
through the understanding of God, His word, & His ways.

The Name "Few of the Many" comes from the scripture in Matthew 7:

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

- Matthew 7:13-14

FOTM (short for 'Few of the Many') is about bringing people onto that narrow path to life. 

Both for those already in the church, & those who have yet to come to God.

This ministry particularly focuses on doing that through the church using the arts & creative storytelling as a way to influence & bring healing & freedom to our current culture.

We focus on using the arts to do this because we believe the arts are able to reach parts of culture that the typical church usually isn't able to reach. The pursuit to reach beyond the typical reach is founded on the scripture in Romans 15. 

"and thus I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone else's foundation, but as it is written,

'Those who have never been told of Him will see, and those who have never heard will understand.'"

- Romans 15:20-21

We also believe that the arts are able to speak to the heart in ways regular words aren't always able to. Hence we see Jesus all throughout the new testament use parables (storytelling), to teach different concepts of the kingdom, & even prophets like in 1 Kings 20:35-22 where he used storytelling to convey the message given by God, & how the very first mention in the Bible of someone being filled with the Spirit of God is a craftsman named Bezalel in Exodus 31. 

"and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, to work in every craft.'"

- Exodus 31:3-5

Our strategy to do this focuses on 3 methods:

Creative Evangelism | Discipleship | Connection 

1. Creative Evangelism: 

• A large portion of this ministry work is done at pop-culture conventions using various creative storytelling through anime/cosplay/comics - this includes teaching panels, booths, & relational evangelism at these conventions
• Another portion of our work is in creating Biblical based music in genres that have impact on younger generations/those outside the church & doing live events with that music (usually free) as a way to evangelize
• With the above created material, we also turn these into creative online content that can reach people through a variety of social media platforms as well.
• We also aim to strengthen & provide resources to other creative ministries with similar missions of reaching outside the church

2. Discipleship (after someone has accepted Christ):

• Providing Biblical & scientific based personal counseling & mentorship to areas of the heart & mind needing healing & direction (I have an education in Psychology that aids in this process)
• Creating Biblical & scientific based online teaching videos/content to aid with the process of discipleship 
• Connecting them into communities of believers they can grow in (both local & online, especially for creatives). We do this through a variety of ministry connections we have -- which are more primarily focused on providing community spaces for the types of people we are reaching. 

3. Connection

• Promoting those who do creative ministries & connecting creative ministries to the overall church body - for spiritual & financial support
• Connecting ministries to each other - for resources/collaborations
• Connecting those with creative giftings & those who feel pulled to this type of work to ministries where they can put to use those gifts to serve the Kingdom of Christ
• As mentioned above, connecting those we minister to into communities of believers they can grow in (this falls under both discipleship & connection)

Our ministry works significantly alongside other ministries. We believe in working together with the whole body, with every person being given different gifts & roles (Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4). There is no need for us to do everything ourselves, so when we find other ministries that excel in something that is needed in the work we do, we rather allow that to be fulfilled through those who have been more equipped for that work. 

A small list of ministries we often work alongside or will be working with are (but not limited to): Beneath the Tangles, the Extreme Tour, Savepoint, NCMC, Nerd of Godcast, Jesus Otaku, & more!

FOTM is also a department of the bigger organization: Artists in Christian Testimony International.

Testimonies from this work over the years includes many people who have stated our panels were exactly what they needed & helped them get back into Christian community, a young man who gave his life to Christ & chose to get baptized after meeting at a convention, a father with a history of abuse walking through deliverance & choosing to walk a path of seriously pursuing Christ & being connected into community & local ministry after meeting at a convention, a young woman who identified as a lesbian converting to straight & accepting Christ after following our pages online & meeting at various conventions, those who considered themselves backslidden choosing to re-dedicate their lives to Christ after following the page online & attending our convention panels, many Christians who were part of these communities getting discipled & sharing that this work helped them become more bold in their own faith & helped them pursue ways to serve God's kingdom in these spaces, & many many seeds sewn that we may never know what they grew into until we are in heaven. <3 

These are some of the upcoming work that your giving will be supporting:

• A trip in November to a Christian based "nerd" conference in Orlando FL aimed at equipping those who do ministry in these space. This will help in partnering with other similar ministries & aid in finding those interesting in joining the team at FOTM to serve & expand our current work.
• Potential evangelism trip to a pop-culture convention in Dallas TX early December.
• A trip to Amarillo TX during the holidays with God-centered gifts for a family with 4 young girls ages 5-13 that I've been helping counsel & disciple through difficult family abuse & brokenness, & getting them connected into a local church body.
• A trip back to Dallas TX after for Upperroom's End of Year conference. & some potential collaboration work with some local ministries in the area
• Evangelism trip to Washington DC area for a large pop culture event in February 2027
• Evangelism work at a local pop culture event in March 2027 where we are planning to do our 'Biblical Themes in Anime' panel, using popular anime refernces as parable for Biblical teaching (some clips from last year's panel here!) 
• Evangelism trip to Orlando FL for a very large pop-culture convention in May 2027 where we're also planning on doing our 'Biblical themes in Anime' panel. And also some time of worship at this convention.
• Several in depth Bible teachings are in the works of being recorded & edited, as well as recordings of several testimonies, to post online to help others grow & learn
• I will be guesting on the Geeks of Godcast daily devotional, providing a few Biblical teachings using pop culture references as parables for these teachings
• There are a few guest spots lined up for me to speak about the ministry on several other Christian based podcasts
• Scripture-based merch items, primarily in Jewelry & clothing, are in the works of being made, to help raise funding & spread the word of God through fashion
• Many trips & opportunities to be announced for 2027!
