Thanks for Visiting & Joining Our Efforts
Hopeful Arts Community is the ministry behind the outlet of artisan works at Hopeful Arts, that share the true Gospel of Christ which heals, restores and brings life to communities. We seek to do this by providing oporunitites for artists to paint, write songs and have their works of art published or shared with others throughout the world. Every Artist needs a start and Hopeful Arts Community is where this encouragement begins.
Local to Katy, TX, artists Ingrid and Benjamin Deffenbaugh (mother and son team) alongside with friends and new budding artists, are building works of art to engage and encourage others in their creative endeavors locally and beyond. We seek to do this currently by roller paints, glass socials, worship leading, Scripture meditation and meditation glass.
Current Ministry Efforts:

Scripture Song Devotionals. Your continued donations help fund ministries like, Scripture Song Devotionals, which minister to all people starting to engage the spiritual discipline of prayer, reading Scripture out loud and singing the Scripture, so the Word of God is heard and dwelled upon in prayer. This process of speaking and singing the Scripture is slower paced, personal, and enters the listener into deep, meditative prayer and solitude, which leads towards a character transformational encounter with the Holy Spirit and not only for study and knowledge. In our fast paced modern culture, having the Word of God come to life in audible song, allows an individual to listen while driving, resting, healing in hospitals, as well as provide a Scripture study tool for those who are blind or cannot read print materials. Sadly, these types of recordings and videos do not sell enough to pay for their production costs, so ministry donations are necessary to continue sharing these devotional worship LIVE events, as well as develop the weekly videos and recordings which minister to several hundred each week. Ingrid's heart is to receive enough donations in addition to production costs, so she can plan small tours and share this deep meditation tool with pastors, ministers and people who are interested in learning more about what God's Word concerning the spiritual discipline of Scripture study and prayer, using melody as a means to deliver the Word and aid the listener with soaking in the meaning of the words God has for each of His own.
Consider sharing the YouTube videos with family and friends who need a devotional, but maybe do not enjoy reading, but might listen to a soothing musical instrumentation, while hearing the Scripture spoken and sung. Even if financial giving is not possible, maybe just sharing a good words about what Ingrid/Hopeful Arts Community is doing, will lead another into a relationship with Christ and provide a backdrop for spiritual conversations. As Dean Schneider often states, "sharing is caring," in his videos, when friends and ministry partners share Scripture Song content, you forward and support the mission which desires for all to know Christ fully by staying in relationship with His Spirit in prayer. It's a lot more than money, it's sharing the Word and praying it roots into the heart of the listener.

Devotional Worship Meditations: Receiving financial support to produce Devotional Worship projects will enable Ingrid to work with worship musicians around the world developing Scripture song meditations in their own heart language, so that the Word of God will be shared orally with music as the vehicle. The vision behind these projects, is to include a musicological approach to the development of artistic style, in an effort to contextualize within the people group being ministered. This could mean Scripture being spoken and sung in a wide variety of artistic ways, so that a broad range of people are reached with the Good News of salvation in Christ. If a donation is not is not possible, then consider sharing these links, so others can listen or buy these current meditation recordings and share them with Bible study groups, prayer ministries and churches looking for quiet meditative music during their group
Jazz Café: Although LIVE Jazz Cafés opportunities have been stopped to meet in person during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ingrid hopes to resume these fun times of fellowship evangelism, while providing entertainment to local people in community more online in 2021, as players and coffee shops are preparing to fully reopen after the pandemic cases subside. Donations given towards developing Christian apologetic jazz, will be used to provide honorariums to professional players, buy needed gear for LIVE audio, and produce recordings that reach people in clubs, city streets and cafés, wherever Ingrid is allowed to set up and sing. Getting this back up as an in person outreach, ministers to a wide range of hurting people that need to hear a truth teller, and a positive word of encouragement. Ingrid seeks to partner with other para-church organizations that desire to build healthy community events fostering non-drunken or self-abusive behaviors, that allow true healing and the potential for witnessing the Gospel. This is an outreach/evangelistic opportunity.
Community Painting: Although COVID-19 shut down painting socials indoors during 2020, Hopeful Arts Community began doing outdoor hydro-dipping using water, buckets and spray paint. Money donated specifically to community painting will be put towards purchasing painting supplies that help kids in the community learn how to paint and get them doing healthy activities and while learning artistic practices. This includes inviting special needs families and working alongside churches who many not have resources.
Lastly, in the not too distant future, Hopeful Arts Community, alongside Hopeful Arts sole proprietorship, will begin training Special Needs Artists to paint and begin selling and marketing their Artisan works, so they can earn a living and not just rely solely on governmental sources of financial provision. In conjunction with KatyISD, Hopeful Arts Community will have Benjamin working in the shop two days each week, taking on the professional skills as an Artist.
