New Renaissance Arts Movement/McElroy

The New Renaissance Arts Movement mission is "Equipping and Connecting Churches and Artists for Inspired Creativity."

We seek to help reintegrate inspired creativity into the local church and the culture. It is a movement to connect artists with the ultimate Creator and their true selves, invigorate the Body of Christ, and convey God's love to the world in authentic and creative ways.

Our new initiative, CARE Arts Ministry, focuses on equipping churches, artists, and believers for creative crisis, trauma, and mental health ministry--with the arts. CARE stands for "Compassionate Artistic Response and Engagement." It's a form of arts ministry based on Art Therapy principals and practices and done with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

In additional to our new CARE initiative, New Renaissance has hosted more than 16 years of face-to-face ministry, biennial CreativeChurch Arts Conferences, arts ministry training, online resources like CreativeChurchArtsIdeas.org, and CAREArtsMinistry.org. We've published printed materials like the new How to CARE: Crisis, Disaster, Trauma, and Healing Ministry with the Arts, and Creative Church Handbook: Releasing the Power of the Arts in Your Congregation (IVP), both by New Renaissance founder, J. Scott McElroy.
